I was watching Dr Oz the other day when I was home sick and he had dream specialists on his show. I found some of the information they provided to be quite insightful and although I don’t typically remember my dreams I paid attention to some of the tips that one of the specialists gave. First, when you remember a dream it is because you wake up in the middle of it so you need to make sure to wake up carefully.
1) Put a journal with a pen at your bedside.
2) Get a soft waking alarm, not a crazy loud buzzer.
3) Do not move when you wake up. The position you are in is the position you were dreaming in and the best position for dream recall.
I followed these tips this morning and was actually able to remember a dream I was having. It was a bit strange so pardon the ambiguity “I was riding in the back seat of a taxi cab talking on my cell phone and taking pictures with my camera. While driving we passed a friend that was supposed to be picked up and I asked the cab driver to go back and the cab driver got angry and drove faster and did not go back.” I was then awakened by my alarm.

To see or use a cell phone in your dream indicates that you are being receptive to new information. It also represents your mobility. Alternatively, the dream signifies lack of understanding. Perhaps you are having difficulties getting through to someone.

Once I made sense and remembered what happened I jotted it down and decided to look up the key points that may possibly mean something (to my life). The specialist had also mentioned that dreams always have something to do with analyzing events of the previous day. Right now, I have a LOT going on family wise, career wise, even education wise and since I have a better understanding of how dreams work this dream actually makes a lot of sense. I used this website to decipher my dream http://www.thecuriousdreamer.com/dreamdictionary/ and maybe it can help you to decipher yours too! Good luck!

Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough. — Oprah Winfrey
All of life is a journey; which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our destination, what kind of road we will take to get there, and how happy we are when we get there.
